Restart the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
  4. Wait for 60 seconds and connect the power cord back in.
  5. Turn on the printer.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

Check Wireless Status

  1. Ensure Wireless Signal is Enabled: Make sure the wireless light on your printer is flashing and attempting to connect. The blue light flashing indicates the printer is trying to connect.

Restart Devices

  1. Restart Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  2. Restart Router: Turn off your router, wait for 60 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  3. Restart Device: Restart the computer or mobile device you are using for printer setup.

Wi-Fi Setup (No Touchscreen Panel):

  • Press and hold the Wireless button on your printer for 5 seconds or until the wireless light starts flashing.
  • Within two minutes, press and hold the WPS button on your router until the connection process begins.
  • The printer wireless light will stop flashing once the connection is complete.

Use HP Smart App for Setup

  1. Enable AirPrint from HP Smart App:
    • Download the HP Smart app from 123.hp.com or your app store.
    • Open the HP Smart app, and sign in or create an account.
    • Select your printer name or image from the app home screen.
    • Check if AirPrint is enabled by accessing Advanced Settings or Printer Home Page (EWS) under the Network setting.

I hope this helps.
