Hi, I've just tried printing a single page and the printer only printed alternate lines. I tried troubleshooting (ink levels fine, paper feed fine etc) but found that a small spring on the encoder bed (?) was loose; whenever the cartridges moved passed it, it knocked the spring lever off the plastic strip. I tried tightening the spring between my fingers, then tried printing again - and the spring has come out and is now a bit mangled on one side.
I think I can probably re-tighten the spring, but how do I re-fit it so it works?
The printer has been packed up for a few months travelling with me so it's possible it has had a knock during transit, but nothing dramatic. I'm hoping I can fix it. Can you help?
