My printer prints as expected, however an error icon shows up when I print and it says both "Marker Supply Low" and "Spool Area Full".
I tried a recommendation to power off the device and hold the power key down, but that didn't change anything.

@Keener21, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
The HP Printer Utility is indicating that the Black ink cartridge is low on ink. You will have to replace it once it is empty.
Update the printer firmware
On the printer screen, go to Setup > Tools > Printer maintenance > Update the printer.
Also, check for any software updates on MAC
Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi Kumar
Thanks so much. I did replace the cartridge and that, after a few uses, seemed to clear up both of the error messages. I tried to follow your instructions to update the firmware, etc. but couldn't figure out how to get to "Tools". I did stumble into printer updates through the "gear" > "gear" (again)> Printer Maintenance > Update Printer. My firmware appears to be up to date.
I believe my issue is now resolved as far as I can tell. So thank you!

Glad to know that the issue is now resolved. As mentioned in my earlier post, the ink level in the black ink cartridge was low and hence the message. Feel free to contact us with any concerns related to HP products.
Happy to help!
