Just an update. So far working good. Will keep updating over the next few days. I am hoping setting the static IP was the solution for this issue.

Glad to hear it and I look forward to hearing back from you again. I will not be available now until Tuesday, but I will check for updates first thing! 🙂

If creating a static IP does indeed resolve the issue, please consider marking the appropriate post as an accepted solution so others can find it easily!  Have a nice weekend.

Just wanted to report that setting a statis IP has helped. It has not went off line since I did that. Thank you for the solution!

Guess what? New problem! When I try to print, the printer shows an error on the printer screen that says:

"The printer could not connect to the server. Check the Internet connection or the proxy setting."

After I press Retry, it tries connecting for a bit and then tells me:

"Press OK to connect printer to update status."

I press Connect and it prints 1 page.

If I send more than one print to the printer, it will do this for every print. I have to go through this process for every single print.

This is getting rediculous. I am ready to throw this printer out the window. Never had so many problems with a printer before.

It is not fair that you guys only warranty a product for 30 days and when it breaks on day 31 you guys don't take responsibility for it. I want a new printer that works like it is suppose to. You guys need to make this right!

Hi @valiik,

There may be a quick solution for this. Try disabling the Web Services on the printer and re-enabling again.

As for the warranty, I think you might be speaking of something like a satisfaction guarantee when you purchase the printer directly from HP.   HP printers generally have a 1 year warranty from their purchase date, you can verify the warranty using the following link if you would like; warranty check.

I hope this helps.

I'm having the same problem.  My printer works fine after I reconnect it to wifi but if I'm away for a couple of hours, it disconnects from the wifi and I have to reset it all over again!  I've tried the steps described above but that didn't work.  Frustrating!
