HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One Printer

I followed the HP Support suggestions and it got to "Uninstall the Printer" and it asked me if I wanted to uninstall my HP Officejet 6310 printer, so I clicked on "Yes" and it them asked me to "Restart" my HP Laptop, so I did...  Now what do I do?  I went to the HP Support Site and it tells me to Install the HP Officejet 6310 Setup and Drivers software...but there is no link to perform this recommended task...  ???  Running Windows 10x64 OS with 16GB PC4 RAM Memory and Quad-core CPU, SSD Hard-drive and LHD Graphics LCD Monitor on an HP 15 Laptop...  I cannot find any relative information to resolve this issue...  I am well versed in Computer's and Computer science...  Note:  I have also tried the HP Scan Doctor application and it tells me the same thing that I know, "Uninstall the HP Officejet 6310 software and Re-install it...  My question is how do I re-install the correct Software and where is it available???

I am curious and concerned that HP does not have a reasonable resolution to this issue...  My Computer Science Engineering background leads me to believe that HP Support would have me believe that I need to keep following their support instructions to a never-ending trail...only to find that their is no possible resolution to this issue other-than live with this HP Officejet 6310 Printer without any Scan functions, period...and live with the fact that it is now just a routine Printer and Copier...  My concern is why can't HP Support just attest to this and end any further added frustration and HP Customer "Wild Goose Chase"...???  If HP had an honest resolution, then what is it???  *Thank you for your valuable time and assistance...

Hi @Zacko99 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing some frustration with reinstalling the software for your HP Officejet 6310 printer after uninstalling it as per the HP Support suggestions.

Here's a step-by-step guide to help you reinstall the software:

  • Download the latest drivers and software: Visit the HP Support website  Software and Drivers for HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One Printer  and navigate to the page for the HP Officejet 6310 printer. Look for the section that offers downloads for drivers and software. You should be able to find the appropriate software package for your operating system (Windows 10 x64).
  • Install the software: Once you've downloaded the software package, run the installer. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process. Make sure to select the appropriate options for scanning during the installation.
  • Restart your computer: After the installation is complete, restart your HP laptop to ensure that all changes are applied correctly.
  • Test the scanner: Once your computer has restarted, try scanning a document to see if the issue has been resolved. Open the scanning software or use the scanning function on the printer itself to test if it's working properly.
  • Check for updates: It's a good idea to check for updates for your printer drivers and software regularly. HP may release updates that improve compatibility and performance.
