Hi @Soulme,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
1. Check Printer Connection
- Ensure the printer is properly connected to your computer or network.
- If using a wired connection, verify that the USB or Ethernet cable is securely connected.
- If using a wireless connection, make sure the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network.
2. Restart Printer and Computer
- Turn off the printer and your computer.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Turn the printer and the computer back on.
3. Update Printer Drivers
- Ensure your printer drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can cause print errors.
- Go to the HP Support website and navigate to your specific printer model.
- Download and install any available driver updates compatible with your operating system (e.g., Windows 11).
4. Set Printer as Default
- Set your HP LaserJet MFP M140we as the default printer.
- Open 'Settings' on your computer.
- Navigate to 'Devices' -> 'Printers & scanners.'
- Select your HP LaserJet MFP M140we and click 'Manage.'
- Set as the default printer.
5. Clear Print Queue
- Sometimes a stuck print job in the queue can cause errors.
- Open the 'Printers & scanners' settings.
- Select your HP LaserJet MFP M140we and click 'Open queue.'
- Clear any print jobs that are stuck or pending.
6. Run Printer Troubleshooter
- Windows has a built-in printer troubleshooter that can help diagnose and fix printer issues.
- Go to 'Settings' -> 'Update & Security' -> 'Troubleshoot.'
- Select 'Printer' and run the troubleshooter.
7. Check Paper and Toner Levels
- Ensure there is enough paper loaded in the printer.
- Check toner levels and replace the cartridge if it is low.
I hope this helps.
