My office jet 4650 all-in-one printer has a bluish blank screen. I have tried disconnecting the power cable from the back of the printer and from the wall socket and re connecting and it doesn’t solve the problem. Can anyone help to solve the problem?

Thank you for your reply but I couldn’t see the mailbox icon so haven’t been able to try your solution. Please explain what the mailbox icon looks like.

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are getting a blue screen error on the printer, I am glad to assist you.
You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

Please provide me with the solution you provided here. I have the same issue and have not found fix. I've been asked to power cycle which does nothing. I'm still left with a blank screen. So the factory reset isn't an option since there is nothing to press...please help!!!

I am afraid I haven’t got good news. They told me to do the reset by removing the power cable etc.and like you it didn’t work so I rang HP technical people and they said if that didn’t work your printer is no good you will have to replace it.

I had a feeling that's where I was headed. It's difficult to get advice from HP when there is zero appreciation that we had totally blank screens and all the steps provided were useless from the start. I really appreciate the heads up!
