have new ENVY 6455e printer; hooked it up two days ago and it worked fine; yesterday tried to print from a wireless computer and ended up with an E9 error code; called HP support and got a company in Canada who are getting HP calls and are not affiliated with HP. My error code has been blinking for the last two days and there is no way (to my knowledge) to "erase" the error code; the HP SMART app no longer recognizes that the printer exists (or says it's unavailable - depending on which of two android apps and the PC app I'm using). There's gotta be a better way - and is there a place where I can find out what an E9 error codes is? How can I find the problem if HP won't give me an answer? Awaiting someone's answer. Thanks.

@Danner49, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you are not able to use the printer due to this error.
An E9 error occurs when a problem occurs during a printer firmware update.
-
Set up the wireless setup again.
For more information, go to Wireless Printer Setup.
-
Touch the Information button
.
If the information page prints, the printer is back to normal state.
If the printer fails to print the Information page, it is still in recovery mode and needs to download the firmware again.
NOTE:
During recovery mode, the printer automatically downloads firmware from the cloud. Leave the printer about 2 hours, depending on your network speed, to complete firmware download and update.
For more info on error codes and blinking lights on the printer, refer to - Blinking Lights and Error Codes
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
