New Envy 6000 series - "Out of paper" error

It seems impossible to find any kind of support from HP. Some useless virtual agent, and no clear contact numbers or chat ability.
I bought a new Envy 6000 series printer about two days ago, and I think i've successfully managed to make it print twice out of about 30 attempts. And I have a background in IT.
It either jams, or it gives me an "Out of paper" error, despite the fact that there's paper in it. How do I make it so this stops happening?

@Jamiec1986, Welcome to HP Support Community!
Going through your post I see that the printer is in an error state. I appreciate your efforts and time in trying to resolve the issue.
If you have already performed the steps from the document 'Out of Paper' Error, Printer Does Not Pick Up Paper and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
Hope this helps!

When it isn't telling me it's out of paper, it instead tells me the "door is open".... when it isn't.
It then requires a reboot of the printer and a reboot of my laptop.
This happens on almost every print. There hasn't been a successful print without a problem.
I would like HP to get in contact with me (because your support system when I try is terrible) and then send someone to fix the printer.

This printer not only tells me the door is open, or is out of paper when neither are true.... it now prints crooked. We've had it less than a month. I would like HP to send someone out to fix it, and then I'd like a refund for all the paper wasted.
For anyone else reading this, I would advise never going near an HP Envy 6000 series.
