Printed a “Printer Test Page” from the HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 app. No color. Then printed a “Print Quality Diagnostic Page,” and all 4 colored blocks are there. Went back and printed another “Printer Test Page.” Still no color. My 2011 MacBook Pro, running High Sierra, prints in color. Please advise. Thanks for your help.
Mac Type: MacBook Pro
OS Version: Mac OS X 10.14
Printer Model: HP OfficeJet Pro 8710
Printer Driver Version: HP Inkjet 3 Driver 4.2.0
Downloaded and installed HP Smart 2.5 Driver
Downloaded and installed HP Easy Start v. 2.9.0.180 - although I’m not sure what it’s supposed to do.

A warm welcome to HP forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
It sounds like an issue with the printer driver installed on your Mac. Removing the existing printer driver and setting up the printer with Apple AirPrint may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:
Please ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with it's software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer and Mac software:
1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.
3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list.
4.) Click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.
5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.
6.) Try to print.
Let me know how it goes!

As near as I can tell, both the printer firmware and software are up to date. I am not sure if my printer can handle AirPrint, as I did not find it in the list of printers. When I uninstalled the printer in System Preferences, and then reinstalled it, there was no AirPrint listed in the pop-up menu. However, I tried to print a one page document at that point, and the color was present. Thank you for your help!
