Deskjet 4645
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I recently bought a HP deskjet 4645 advanced... I had an old Officejet ... So I installed everything with the new printer, connected it all and set it up. It is on the wireless network and communicates properly with the Internet. It registers on my computer and shows when it is offline or online and I can view ink levels on the computer so it does communicate with it (even scanning to comp worked...). The ePrint (via email) works and AirPrinting from an iPad works..

BUT it does not want to print from the computer... AT ALL.... I have reinstalled the program a few times (HP Doctor app suggested this), I have swapped the printer where I bought it thinking it was a dud, I have tried connecting it via the USB cable... Nothing... Please help

Hi, I have installed the full driver and tried it all... I ended up buying an officejet thinking it was the deskjet giving me problems..

BUT it still didn't work.. I then found a place where you uninstall drivers conpletely (not in control panel @ devices...)

It's in Devices and Printers (control panel)
Select a printer then at the top click the tab saying 'server properties'
Then select the driver you want to uninstall
Click remove
And TADA 😁

That uninstalls the driver COMPLETELY 🙂 so yay it now works!

Thanks for everyones help!! Julle is oulik (you guys are cool- in Afrikaans)

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP forum.

Have yo udownloaded and installed the FULL feature software?

If not, can you  download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:

http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-deskjet-ink-advantage-4640-e-all-in-one-printer-s...

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Hope that helps.
