I have the same issue I can no longer print from my Android LG phone nor my I-Pad but can print for my Dell PC windows-based. The HP plug-in always work beautifully before just stopped working a couple days ago [paper mismatch error]...yikes.
Paper size is correct, even changed to main tray, rather than auto....had a jam, pulled it out of the duplexer and since then have had no luck. Have unplugged, powered off, even unplugged from the wall -- with no luck.
Please help.

Thank you for joining the HP Community
Could you please help me with the exact model name or the product number or the printer and the operating system of the computer?
Keep me posted.
Have a great day!
Cheers:)

Greatful to hear from you, Raj.
HP Photosmart 7520
Dell all-in-one, Win 10 ver 1903
IPad Safari OS 9.3
LG Stylo 2V, Android ver 7.0
It just started a few days ago, when I was printing from my IPad--the paper got stuck in the duplexer, I removed the duplexer, carefully pulled out the page from the back, and have since got this error. The job starts, then prompts me to cancel job...then blank paper ejects.
I have no problem printing from my PC - wired rather than wireless.
Please solve this problem for me....thanks!

Update the printer firmware
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates.
For more information, go to Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.
Also, check if there any updates available for your iOS device.
Refer to this document HP Printers - Printing from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch for help on using AirPrint feature.
If you are using HP Smart App to print, refer to this document HP Printers - Using the HP Smart App (Android, Apple iOS) to learn more about settings.
Hope this helps!

So I go to update the firmware as you suggested (noticed the 2018 date), downloaded the files, let it auto-discover my printer, selected the printer, but "Update" button did not light up, so can't install -- yikes! What gives???
I'm so close but yet so fa, in seeing if this alleviates the newly acquired erroneous error "paper size mismatch" when printing from iPad & Android phone. Thank you in advance...this is really crippling my wireless printing that I've grown so accustomed to. 🙂

Chances are that the firmware is already updated and hence, the printer's name is greyed out.
Refer to the documents that I've shared and let me know if you need any further assistance.
Keep me posted.
