Hello all the community,
The black and colour cartridges are full and when I start printing, the printer pulls out a blank sheet of paper.
I can't use the software to clean the printheads. Can you help me solve this problem ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi @Freddu77 ,
Welcome to the HP Support-Community.
There are several possible causes for that kind of problem. At first, please check out these steps:
Take a handkerchief and one of the cartridges. Now press the cartridge like a stamp on the handkerchief for about 2-3 seconds. You should see a strong, colored strip. Is this the case?
If there is no or very little ink on the handkerchief, moisten the handkerchief slightly and press the cartridge again, this time for about 30 seconds on it, until more ink comes out.
Afterwards, re-insert the cartridge and run a cartridge clean, if necessary.
What is the result?
Please try this with both cartridges.
Best,
Nils_K

Hi Nils_K,
Thank you for your message.
I have followed your advice to the letter, but the black printing is still of poor quality and no colour printing.
However, I did have a very dense colored stripe at first with the color cartridge and a little less with the black cartridge. The printer is installed under Windows 10 family. Despite my research on the HP website, I couldn't find the software that cleans the cartridges. I tried with HP print and Scan Doctor and no option is proposed to do this operation. As for HP Smart, it does not detect the printer. Is there anything else I can do ?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, please turn both cartridges upside down for about an hour. After that time, re-insert the cartridges and try to print out a document.
There is definitely a problem with the cartridges. Did you stop printing for a while? I believe the cartridges dried out.
Best,
Nils_K
