HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer

When I have 1 page that I want to print on half page, I pick to print 2 pages on one paper. When it prints the printing end in the middle of the paper not on one side so I can neatly fold paper in half.

Hi @Tamarac33321,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I hope your doing great!

I understand the issue you're experiencing is related to how the printer is aligning and scaling the content when printing two pages on a single sheet of paper. To fix this and ensure the print aligns properly for folding, you can try the following steps:

Adjust Print Settings in Windows:

Open the Print Dialog:

  • In the application you're printing from, click on File > Print.

Select Printer:

  • Choose your HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer.

Adjust Layout Options:

  • Click on Properties, Preferences, or Printer Setup (name may vary based on the app).
  • Look for an option like Page Layout or Finishing.
  • Set Pages per Sheet to 2.

Change Page Order (if necessary):

  • Ensure the option for Print Page Borders or Page Order is configured so that the two pages print on one side of the paper, starting at the top or bottom edge.

Adjust Scaling (Optional):

  • Enable the Fit to Page option if the scaling looks off.

Preview the Output:

  • Most print dialogs provide a preview. Ensure the preview aligns as expected.

Print:

  • If it still doesn't align correctly, try switching the orientation between Portrait and Landscape to adjust the layout.

Adjust Settings in the HP Smart App (if used):

  1. Open the HP Smart app.
  2. Select your printer, and click Print Document.
  3. In the Print Settings, locate options for Layout or Page Setup.
  4. Set Pages per Sheet to 2 and adjust margins if needed.
  5. Print and check alignment.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
