I connected the printer to my laptop and also to internet. It takes tha paper in it, it does some noises and give it out. But I only put one cartridge, the colour one. IS THAT A PROBLEM? Do I have to put both to work?

Thanks for joining us! The HP Support Community is here to help.

Many HP printers require both the black and color cartridges to be installed in order to function correctly. If only the color cartridge is inserted, the printer may make noises, attempt to process the print job, and then stop without printing.

To avoid errors and ensure smooth printing, please ensure that both cartridges are properly installed—this is especially important when printing color documents.

Additionally, based on the issue you described, it could also be related to a paper pickup problem. Please provide your printer model so we can guide you with step-by-step instructions to resolve the issue.
