Brand new printer, error message "cartridge not communicating correctly with the printer." Tried with both the setup cartridges and brand new full cartridges. Initially did not recognize either, but after removing and replacing the cartridges several times, it recognizes the color but still not the black cartridge. Working off laptop over Wifi. Have updated software.

The first document link did not work: "We're sorry. We can't seem to find the page you were looking for."
The second document "HP ENVY Inspire 7200e, 7900e Printers - Color or black ink not printing, other print quality issues" - Printer Maintenance > Clean Cartridge: when I do that, get error "Cartridge Problem: the indicated cartridges are not communicating correctly with the printer"....

Update: After searching more online, I read about single cartridge mode - which gave me the thought to take the black cartridge out and try printing with just the color setup cartridge, and that worked! Then I put in the new black cartridge (not the setup cartridge) and it seems to be reading it now. Was able to do printer alignment. I think I am back in business...Thanks!

Inspect the inside of the printer for the connection point. With a lint-free/dry cloth lightly wipe the contacts on both cartridges and printer to remove any dirt, or residue being careful not to cause any damage. Replace the cartridges in the printer. Power the printer back on.
