Pretty sure I know the answer but.......I have old Photosmart 3210 All In One printer which still works great but the PowerMac G-5 I bought along with it, years ago, has died. Tried to load driver (original disk) but was told "won't work on this Mac platform" (MAC Mini, late 2012, running Sierra 10.12.3). Would love to use it. Any options or just junk it? Thanks in advance.
I also have HO Deskjet 2540 now in use on the mini but it will not scan on MAC. Anyway to overcome this? Copy & print are OK.

Hi,
Although you pretty sure you know the answer I think you might get surprised 😉
You may install the Photosmart 3210 for printing and scanning on Sierra by following these steps:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04510394
Regarding the Deskjet 2540, what happens when you try scanning? any specific error? is it connected USB or wirelessly?
You may also install HP Easy Scan below to scan with both the 3210 and the 2540 once installed:
Shlomi

Thanks for comeback. I think I may solve 3210 problem, along with replacing my graphics programs (ADOBE & Quark) by buying rebuilt G-5 from Powermax. Spoke with Apple and they acknowledge them as Premier Partner with no bad customer feedback. Cheapest gamble at present. I'll research a little further, if you have input, it's welcome.
Re:scanning on 2540. I have only tried once (since I still had G-5 and working 3210 at the time) but found some message (in literature?) saying it could scan in Windows environment but not Mac. Sorry I'm not very technical, I can take a look to see if I can find reason but replacing G-5 might adress all....and make me happy again.
