Hi,
We are trying to reset the device to factory defaults INCLUDING the password which is stored on the device. Using the Users Guide and all available information on the GCSN, we are able to reset the device to factory defaults, but the password remains.
Does anyone know how to remove the password?
Thx and regards
Stephan

You're welcome and thanks for clarifying.
Usually, by performing a network defaults on the printer, the password for the EWS page should go away.
The following steps help you to restore the network settings to defaults:
Hope this works out. Let me know the outcome.
Cheers!

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂
Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Forums.
I understand that you would like to remove the password on your HP OfficeJet 200 Mobile Printer. You have already performed a factory defaults on the printer and the password still remains.
To assist you with accurate information I would require more information regarding this:
- Is the pssword to connect to the wireless network?
- Or is the the Wi-Fi Direct password of the printer itself?
In case it is the Wifi-Fi direct password then we need to disable the Wifi-Direct on the printer and it will not ask for a password. Wi-Fi Direct lets you print wirelessly from a computer or a wireless-capable mobile device without connecting to a wireless network.
3. Choose Off for the Wi-Fi Direct.
I sincerely hope this information helps. Please feel free to keep me posted for any further questions.
Good luck! 🙂
