Before calling Support, have you tried the latest Firmware? (released 1st June)

Earlier today I let you guys know that the noise problem seemed to be solved after installing the new firmware update. I promissed to give an update later on.
Now the office day here in The Netherlands is almost finished, it's more quiet and the noise is still gone. Only if you put your ear on the printer you can hear the sound slightly but for me that doesn't count.
Thank you HP for solving the problem and making me and hopefully also the others here happy:)
Best to all of you,
Dirk

YES!. The June 1 update has fixed the problem. On the printer screen, scroll right to Set up. then scroll down to Printer maintenance, then down to update printer. Follow the prompts. Peace and quiet ensues.

Downloaded the latest firmware and it helped a somewhat. Customer support shipped me a new power supply. Took 2 minutes to install and the noise is now completely gone. Looks like the correct fix is the firmware update and improved power supply.

So if you have the new FW and the noise is still there I'd advise calling HP Support. First check what Rev the power supply is (image in the post below)
Can you please let us know how you get on?

I just bought this printer, what a mistake! I get the same irritating noise. Tried all the suggestions to no avail. This is clearly a hardware problem in my and my technicians opinion. Stop messing people around HP and recall the faulty printers and fix this problem.
