I have been reviewing the tweets on erro 0X6100004a as I have the same problem.

I just purchased this printer Feb 2016 and warranty expired March 5 2017.  It is very disappointing to get a response to recycle and buy a new one.  I have new cartridges only put in last fall as this is relatively lightly used and I even have some new in the package cartridges since they come as a 2 pack or multipack only.  Can I buy a new printer that uses the same cartridges as this so I don't lose out on these?  Is there no consideration for a failure so close to warranty expiry?  Appreciate your comments.

This printer sucks., Brand new and nothing but trouble. 10 pages then 0x6100004a, HP

tells you to buy a new one.  I'm buying a Cannon.

After replacing the Black ink on our OfficeJet Pro 6830, which is just 18 months old and gets light, regular use at home with genuine HP ink cartridge the message came up that there  was a problem with the printhead. The printer was working fine before I changed the ink cartridge.  I followed the instructions perfectly to the letter. I have the read troubleshooting  pages and rebooted and reloaded, to no avail. As the warranty expired in Nov '16 it seems the HP have mastered.manufacturered obsolescence. I can find no other reason as the printer has always been kept in good conditions. The only message I can get from HP website is the warranty has expired.  So I guess if you get more than a year from a HP product you are just lucky. Very uunprofessional.  Definitely not a quality unit, unfortunately.

Buenos días, eso mismo me pasa a mi con la HP Officejet 6820

 

1.  enciendo la maquina, y aparece en primer lugar " ATASCO DE PAPEL, papel atascado en  la impresora. Elime el atasco y toque OK", pulso OK en la impresora, y en segundo mensaje es " Fallo de impresora 0x6100004a. Problema de la impresora o el sistema de tinta. Apague y encienda la impresora. Si sigue viendo este mensaje comuníquese con HP"

 

Estos son los mensajes que me aparecen en mi impresora HP Officejet 6820. Todo esto me paso, al dejar de utilizarla unos meses, y le cambie tambien los cartuchos de tinta y tampoco funciona.

 

¿Como puedo arreglar mi impresora? 😞

I keep getting  this error message and the paper jam thing. Followed instructions but still the same. Somewhere on this thread it was mentioned a change of cartridges might remedy situation. Did not and now I am out more $$$$. If this means I have to go back to where I puirchased I will buy naything but HP.

Life is too short to wait for HP to really provide help when needed.  I will take this junk back and buy something else.
