Hello, my inkjet printer has decided that it does not want to print blue. I was attempting to print 3 photos. The first photo top half printed ok. The bottom got streaky (red, thicker on the left). The second photo continued the streaky and the bottom quarter was a washed out red. The 3rd photo was completely a decent print, but it looked like it was printed with a red filter.
My printer reports that all three colors are approximately half full. I am enrolled in Instant Ink. I removed the blue cartridge and when I touched the reservoir output with a tissue there was definitely ink there. While it was out I trimmed the orange tabs around it.
Once I put the cartridge back in - still no blue. This unit is 4 days out of warranty, has about 50 pages total printed over the past year.
Any advise?

- light blue comes out pink and green comes out yellow. Any other ideas that would help are welcome.
- Magenta and Black are fine. When I print from a word processor or a web page
- Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
- Not sure why my post has lines in random order. NOT the order I entered.
- ran all the diagnostics two or three times each. Followed instructions in the "solution"
- the Extended Self Test Diagnostic page still shows streaks in the blue. Cyan
- This solution did not resolve my problem. I have inserted new cartridges
- while most diagnostics show good

Hi @Andas
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you. Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:
From the printer control panel, open the Setup
menu.
Open the Printer Maintenance menu.
If necessary, open the Tools menu, and then touch Clean Printhead.
If the print quality is unacceptable, touch Clean Again to continue the next level of cleaning. If necessary, repeat these steps for the third cleaning cycle.
NOTE:
If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform all three levels of cleaning again.
Also, perform step 9 from this document.
Now, Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page
From the printer control panel, open the Setup
menu.
Open the Reports or Tools menu.
Touch Print Quality Report. Check for blue.
As the issue is related to Instant ink cartridges, I need more information to help you out.
