My computer can "see" the printer but I can't print. I have run the Print and Scan Dr (several times) and it shows everything is good until it tries to print a test page. It can't get the printer to print the initial test page but it can get it to print the "internal" test page.
I have uninstalled and installed the drivers at least 5 x's with no change.
Every troubleshooter can see the printer but can't tell me why I can't actually print.
HELP! -tired of emailing docs to the printer

Let us try running the HP Print and Scan doctor, this may fix the issue.
- Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor
to automatically diagnose and resolve printer hardware and connection issues.
- After the Print and Scan Doctor opens, click Fix Printing to test your printer, and then follow any instructions to resolve the issue.
- Try to print.
- Let me know what happens
Cheers!

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support community!
- How is the printer connected? Is it on a Wired connection(USB/Ethernet) or wireless?
- Are you able to make copies from the printer?
Let's try uninstalling the printer and re-installing the printer driver at the root level. This may fix the issue.
Please follow these steps:
1.)In Windows, search for 'Control Panel' and open 'Programs' or 'Programs and features' and select 'Uninstall a Program'.
2.) Select your HP Printer.
3.) Select Uninstall.
4.) In Windows, search for 'Control Panel' and look for 'View devices and printers'option under 'Hardware and Sound'.
5.) In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'.
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab.
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
10.) Select Ok.
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.
12.) Close Devices and Printers.
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.
16.) Download the printer driver and install it from this link. Open the downloaded file, follow onscreen instructions and complete installation
Try printing from your PC again and check if you can print.

Atharva,
Thank you for trying to help me make this printer work! To answer your questions,
1. I am connected wirelessly (there are others in the office that are connected wirelessly and are printing)
2. I can make copies from the printer.
I followed the directions you laid out. Very easy to follow, thank you. I had to go a step farther and go into regedit to remove a copy of the printer that was not showing on my list of printers but would not allow me to uninstall the drivers.
I installed the drivers from the link you gave me, restarted the computer and still cannot print. When I send something to the printer, it goes into the print queue like normal, sits there for a minute and goes away like it thinks it printed but nothing is printing.
