Officejet5258 not printing black

HP Officejet 5258  inkjet printer suddenly stopped printing the black color.  There was still ink in the black cartridge, but I changed it anyway.  No change. 

Used the printer menu to 'clean cartridges'.  No change. 

Went thru all the steps Virtual Agent suggested - NO change.

Printer will print color, but absolutely NO black.

If you have already performed the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
