I have a OfficeJet in my vacation home. It has very low usage, I have just replaced the ink cartridges after the print quality became very poor. I put it through the clean print head process both inital and secondary. The print quality was still very poor. I then replaced the cartridge againthinking I may have gotten a bad print cartridge and the quality is still very poor after the clean printhead process again. Are there any other steps I can take short of sending the device to HP for service?
The device is most likely out of warranty due to length of time owned, but it has extremely low usage, like less than one ream of paper since I purchased it.

I perform the first and second level cleaning multiple times. I also downloaded and installed the latest firmware. Looking at the print quality page I observed the cyan ink was not printing. The ink levels for the cartridge all showed full. I decided to replace the ink cartridge. The has allowed all the colors to print. There are still smears but at least the printer is printing again.
I also tried the tool to "Clean Page smears". There are still 5 areas of the page where the print quality is poor. The printer is at least printing at a draft quality. It would be pretty unacceptable for any business work.
Any suggestions?
