Dear rkuks
This is a long thread, but if you look in the beginning (and the stories) it pretty much boils down to mismatch between iOs devives after upgrade to iOs11 in combination with HP Officejet PRO 8600 series.

One common solution suggestion is a disabling of IPv6 in the printer. This seems to work for some but not for tr1948, myself and apparantly many others.

Many workarounds are used, more or less laborious:(

Well! Network Configuration Page showed IP Address as 192.168.223.1 which couldn’t be found.

Printed out the page again and came up with 10.0.0.16. Tried this one and, bingo, access to HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g.

selected Network tab then Network Protocols and, FINALLY, was able to select IPv4 only.

Connecting to the printer is a little slower than it used to be, but at least I can now print in normal size.

I hope this lasts. Have printed 3 emails all normal size.

Bless you!

I have followed the thread. Tried everything suggested. I have a 8600 plus. None of the suggestions have worked. If HP don’t come through with a solution within the next week I’m binning my printer and moving elsewhere. Dry frustrating. Sure the work around a can work but we shouldn’t have to.

Same here,  none of the suggestions work reliably.   I have also found that selecting IPv4 means that the iPad reports No Airprinters found.

Workarounds are not the answer.

Hi. Interesting update here.. I printed one of the e-mails from this thread from my iPhone and it printed small size in top left hand corner. I then installed the available iPhone software update 11.2.2 (15C202), reprinted the same e-mail and it came out full size! No changes made to printer between the two printings. I wonder if something changed in the iOS software that fixed the problem, or if it’s just a coincidence...🤔. My HP 8600 Pro firmware version is: CLP1CN1545AR

Hi again. Just tried to print the same e-mail from rm my iPad running iOS 11.2.2 and again the e-mail prints out full size. I also have iPv 4 only select in printer set up.

Hope this is of some help to some of you with the printing problem

Kind regards

Chris

Further to my post 11/1/18

Kerrr, I am absolutely perplexed

Finally got to print normal size, but, today, printed from Notes and, again, small, print.

Followed all steps again and IPv4 was only selected. Selected again, Applied and exited.

Re-printed and, wonder of wonders, printed normal size.

it appears, for me, a temporary (24 hour) fix.

is there any long term solution to this problem I wonder?

C’mon HP! There has got to be a more effective solution.
