Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Have you tried making a standalone copy on the printer and check if that works?

Power resetting the printer and checking the printer for errors may resolve this issue. Let us try these steps:

Step 1: Reset the printer

1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

2. Wait at least 60 seconds.

3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Step 2: Check for any papers stuck inside the printer and if the print carriage can move freely, re-insert the ink cartridges.

Step 3: Print a self-test report

1. Load letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the input tray.

2. Press and hold the Cancel button and then press the Start Copy Color button

Let me know how this goes.
