I just unpacked and setup this printer. It initially took paper from Tray 2. Now it only wants to single feed from Tray 1. I cannot find a default or way to direct from Tray 2. I've reset tray multiple times, added paper...thinking it's not reading a sensor. I would appreciate any help. Other than this, it seems to be a nice machine.

I'm not familiar with Mac drivers so I don't know how you select the paper source on one.

No green button anywhere. I have been able to direct it in from the dialogue menu, just before it prints, under "Layout" an d "Paper Feed", the tray can be selected. However it defaults back to Tray 1 each time. If I select "Last Layout" rather than "Default Layout", it may do multiple pages from the last print. There should be a way to make Tray 2 default. Cant find it.

I know how to fix that on a PC but not on a Mac.

Sorry...out for 2 days) The paper tray problem appears to be IN the printer. It is looking for Tray 1 just to do a copy or any other device (iphone, ipad) and not defaulting to Tray 2 with paper. Something in Setup? I have tried every option under Setup/System Setup/Paper Setup/Out of Paper Action.

That indicates that the paper type for tray 2 might have been inadvertently changed to something other than "Plain" or "Any".
Some machines require you to manually set paper size, others autodetect it, if this one is a model where you manually set it then it might have been set to something other than "Letter". (you may have checked this, but I am not sure what you did when you "reset" the tray)
If my answer solves your problem please mark it as a solution. If any Tech gives you helpful suggestions you can thank them by giving them "Kudos", (just click the "Thumbs Up" button under the post).

Just wanted to post this in case it helps anyone. I've been having this issue myself and discovered a simple mechanical solution. My printer would print fine from tray 1 but not tray 2. I suspected a paper feed issue and found there is a small plastic guide that had gotten out of alignment. It is the switch on the lower left corner in the front of the printer. The guide has a gap in the middle which the metal bottom tray should be in. This guide had gotten pushed all the way above the metal tray. After realigning it the printer works fine.
