Great idea ... I have the HP 6600, and I did first use a lighter weight oil that works to keep our shredder oiled ... biodegradable and doesn't soil paper ... I put it on the little wheels on both ends of the paper feeder using a Q-tip ... At first it did not seem to work so, yesterday, I went to Ace Hardware, and I got a small spray can of garage lubricant which is slightly heavier weight. I planned to use it today, so this morning, as a test, before I used the garage lubricant, I first just it the copy button, and, yay! ... no squeak when the paper came out ... so, the lighter oil actually worked, but I am keeping my little can of garage door lubricant, but may not need it ... Thanks for the tip!!!
