Whenever I print wirelessly, my documents will stay in the print que. An error message will come up on my laptop that says the printer needs attention. I've restarted the printer, restarted my wifi, restarted my computer and have ran the HP Print & Scan Doctor. The only thing that has worked is to run Troubleshoot by right clicking on my printer icon. However, I have to do this each time I turn on my computer. The printer automatically starts printing whatever is in the print que after troubleshoot has done its thing; right after it's checking the allignment of the print cartritges it starts printing. While I've found a way around this problem, it's annoying! I want to just click print and have it print.
Also, I've noticed that it started doing this after I removed the black ink cartridge. That cartridge would not work (part of HP Instant Ink) , so I have it set to print in single cartridge mode with just the color cartridge. I can't try it with a black cartridge to see if that solves the printing problem, since I have no other black cartridge to try. Apparently HP doesn't mail refills until they're gone, and my black will never be gone since it doesn't work.
So, any suggestions?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Try a root level re-install -
1) In the search box, type and open "Uninstall a Program".
2) Look for HP Printer software.
3) Right-click to uninstall.
4) In the search box, type and open “Devices and printers”.
5) In the Devices and Printers, look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose “Delete” or “Remove Device”.
6) Open the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”).
8) Click on the "Drivers" tab.
9) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click “Remove” at the bottom.
10) Select Ok.
11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.
12) Close Devices and Printers Once the software and drivers are removed.
13) Restart the computer.
14) Download and install the software and drivers from here.

Thanks, I'll try your uninstall suggestion. As for the instant ink, there is nothing on my account page that was helpful in solving the ink problem. The black ink does not work correctly and caused the printer to print blurry. I tried alligning the cartridges, but each time I tried to scan the allignment page it would say that it could not be completed. I also cleaned the black ink cartridge, as per the instructions on HPs website, and it still will not print correctly, so I've just removed it.
