HP Officejet Pro 8600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Both printer and computer are connected to my internet provider.   Printer has good wireless connection and comupter is connected via cable.  I have uninstalled and re-installed the printer itself and updated the driver to one compatible with Windows 10.  Still can't print or scan wirelessly.  Turned off my McAfee firewall....and still no printing.  Finally hooked up printer via cable to my computer and now I can print, but I want to be able to use it wirelessly.  Troubleshooting mentioned something about update the IP address, but I don't know how to do that.  Help??!

Hi,

Follow these steps:

1. Click on the wireless icons

2. Go to settings (Gear icon)

3. In the next screen, you NEED TO SCROLL DOWN before you can see the "Restore Network Defaults"

See example below:

Hope that helps.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP forum.

Let's start all over again.

First, Restore your printer Network to Defaults.

This resource will show you how to do that:

Restore Printer Network Settings

Next, connect your printer to your wireless network using the Wireless Setup Wizard:

Finally. please Uninstall and Reinstall the FULL feature software following these steps:

1. Download and save the FULL feature software (do not install it online)

2. Uninstall the software in your computer
3. Install the FULL feature “Saved” software

Hope that helps!

Thanks greenturtle, but when I touch the wireless icon on my printer and then select settings.....there is no "restore network settings" choice.  So I don't know how to find that on my HP Officejet Pro 8600.  So I can't go on to step 2.  Can you help me figure out how to do this on my printer?
