HP OfficeJet Pro 8710

HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 - About 2 wks ago i lost the capability to send documents to my printer via @hpeprint.com

When I send a doc I get the standard email back - ePrint Job Received. Only issue is the document never makes it to my printer.

I have gone thru all the HP support suggestions - reboot printer, reboot router, firmware updates, check my firewall setting on router, etc. Printer is online and I can print wireless from my PC at home.

When i checked Web Services I got the following error:

"The printer could not connect to Web Services. The server might be busy or temporarily unavailable. Try again later."

Per support suggestions, I have removed Web Services on the printer.

I have tried to add back the Web Services and I'm now getting the same error:

"The printer could not connect to Web Services. The server might be busy or temporarily unavailable. Try again later."

An suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

After over a week we have not seen a response.

Any ideas how to solve this issue ??

@mclloyd

I would guess you have two accounts for the same person.

The reason you are not getting is response is likely that no one has anything to offer on the subject.

So - we cannot fix it.

Hopefully "something" will help resolve the issue.

What?

Web Services is dependent on the connection between your printer and the HP services / servers network.  It could be nearby (relatively speaking), or the connection might be far away.  Generally, at least, connections are within a region.  For example, if you are in the Northeast, it is unlikely your Web Services is dependent on a connection / service in the Western States region.

That explanation is meaningless in context - if it won't connect, you don't care why.

Assuming the connection problem is on the HP side, then when it is resolved, Web Services will start working again.

What?

The Community hasn't any way to check.  We are not internal HP - we are a separate user community "outside" of the services and business groups within HP.

Yeah, but...

If it can be fixed on your side,

Try / Consider:

Restart everything, including the Router.

Leave the printer until everything else is restarted - then start the printer and let it try to connect.

What else?

Check your HP Smart / HP Connected account and see if the printer is still "connected" there.

Note:  Log into your HP Account if / when you need central access to your device information, including the ability to update your personal  information for HP Smart / HP Connected.

Note, that the printer might not show - it depends on where the Web Services is broken.

If the printer is connected...

Although dependent on nearly the same thing, you could try using HP Smart for PC (Windows / MacOS) or perhaps HP Smart Mobile from a supported device.

HP Smart uses Cloud Services.

Both HP Smart for PC / Mac and HP Smart Mobile does require you are signed into the application.

Add your email to Windows Mail.

Start the app > select Scan > when the item has been scanned > select Save / Share > Share
