Hello,
I had a printer HP2632, It was doing ghost printing (it was printing blank pages continuously without any print command). I did several things to resolve the issue, but it didn't resolve. and it added two more problems -
1. It is not responding to print command sent from Windows 11.
2. When I click on printer icon in the tray after print command, it opens system32 folder.
I several times uninstalled the software and drivers as mentioed in https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/Printer-puts-out-blank-pages-when-in-standby/td-p/64.... But it didn't help.
Then I bought a new printer 2822e, installed it now. It does not give ghost printing, But it does not respond to the print command from windows 11 and it opens system 32 folder when I am clicking on the print icon in the tray. I am using the drivers from HP Smart App.
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

Hi @krishnendu_roy,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I see that you are facing an issue with your printer that is not printing.
A) Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain.
1) Take out the cartridges
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.
Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges
B) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.
C) If the issue still persists, uninstall the printer software by following the steps from this link and restart the devices.
D) Install the printer software by clicking on the link again and let me know if that resolves the issue.
Note: Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day

Hello Irwin6,
Actually I updated windows 11 with some windows repair option, and it worked for me.
But the automatic blank page printing issue is still there with my old printer. I did all the steps you mentioned.
As the new printer does not give the same problem and I am using the new one now, I am not worried about the old printer.
We can terminate this thread for now.
