inkjet 4620

I just installed new ink cartridges.  Somehow the door opened more than usual and won't close.  It seems to be stuck by a piece of plastic holding up the right side, facing the printer.  I tried putting it on its side and gently wiggling the door, as one message suggested for another model, but this did not work.  Any recommendations would be appreciated.

@Or5

Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are unable to close the printer door. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

Click here and refer the document to replace the cartridge.

If that does not fix the issue.

I request you to contact HP Phone Support for further assistance on this.

Let me  know how it goes.

Cheers.

Hi Or5,

It might be worth to check it the plastic arm (on the right as mentioned) is still in place, if you cant recall how it should look, maybe you can do a physical check if it looks loose or out of place.

You may not be able to conduct any more printing if the door sensor doesnt detect that the door is closed properly. It should be located at the bottom right, where the "male" plastic part is located at the bottom of the scan bed. The door will be detected close once the "male" plastic part activates the sensor.

Let me know if this helps at all.

Best Regards
