My printer has stopped printing. Every time I try to print something, the printer starts flashing a blue screen with an error code B86D1646. the home, back and network signs also keep flashing. Only way to exit this is rebooting. it goes back to the same thing when i try printing again.

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are getting a B86D1646 error on the printer, follow these steps to fix the issue.
Perform a power reset
- Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
- Turn on the printer.
Update the printer firmware

Hello,
Uninstall HP printer software and drivers
Uninstall the HP printer software (Windows)
Uninstall HP printer software, and then remove the printer from your Devices list.
-
Disconnect the printer from the computer or network.
-
In Windows, search for and open Add or remove programs.
-
In the list of installed programs, click your HP printer name, and then click Uninstall. If your printer name does not display, select HP Smart, and then click Uninstall.
-
If a User Account Control message displays, click Yes.
-
Follow the instructions to complete the software removal, and then restart the computer.
NOTE:If the uninstall fails, use the Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter (in English), and then try uninstalling again.
-
In Windows, search for and open Control Panel.
-
Click Devices and Printers.
-
For each printer icon that represents the name of your HP printer, right-click the icon, and then click Remove Device or Uninstall device.
NOTE: If no printer icons display, the printer has already been removed.
The printer software and driver is uninstalled.
Other related HP software might remain on the system. If you do not want a particular software title, uninstall it from Add or remove programs.
