My printer keeps printing same pages after every print job.  The only way to stop it is to turn off the printer.

Hi @LTP2,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like your printer is experiencing a persistent issue where it keeps printing the same pages after each print job. This can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This simple step can sometimes resolve minor glitches.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Manufacturers often release firmware updates to address various issues and improve overall performance.
  • Check Print Queue: On your computer, check the print queue to ensure that there are no pending or stuck print jobs. If there are, cancel them and try printing again.
  • Printer Driver Update: Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. You can visit the official HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your specific printer model.
  • Print a Test Page: Print a test page directly from the printer to see if the issue persists. This helps determine whether the problem is related to the printer itself or the connection with your computer.
  • Verify Print Settings: Ensure that your print settings are correct and match the specifications of the document you are trying to print. Check for any unusual settings that might be causing the repeated printing.
  • Check for Malware or Viruses: Perform a thorough scan of your computer for malware or viruses. Sometimes, malicious software can interfere with the normal functioning of printers.
  • Check Network Connection: If your printer is connected to a network, ensure that the network connection is stable. If there are any issues with the connection, it might be causing the repeated printing problem.
  • Reset Printer Settings: You may try resetting the printer to its default settings. Refer to the printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
