Dear,

My printer MFP M283fdw stopped printing cyan color for no reason. Tried several things like rebooting, cleaning, calibrating, updated the firmware, nothing gave better results, cyan cannot print. For information, I only used HP toners as from the beginning.

Would you have any idea about my issue?

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Print out the Supplies status report and scan this report and upload here, click on the icon "Insert photos", "Set format = Large", original size.
But before you must remove or delete the personal data and printer serial number on the printout.

Hi Thomas451,

 

The cyan cartridge is defective. Warranty is still valid. Therefore, please complain about this cartridge. You should also enclose this report.

 

But first try this procedure:
- Remove the cartridge
- Shake the cartridge vigorously, it may only be necessary to loosen the toner.
- Insert cartridge
- Now start a calibration
- Print out the supplies status report again

If nothing has changed, complain about the cartridge.

Actually nothing changed, shook the cartridge, new calibration, installed a new cartridge, absolutely no difference, only one cartridge less.

2 HP cartridges with the same problem, very rare!

Thanks for the information however no luck on any of the cartridges. Both of them were in the correct position, tried to move the pin on both, I still have the same issue, no printing the cyan colour. Any other idea?
