Hi @Dawn123456789,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code "E 0" on an HP printer typically indicates a paper jam. Even though you may not see any paper jammed in the printer, sometimes the sensors or other components may still detect a jam. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Check for any paper jams:

  • Open all the printer covers and trays to inspect for any bits of torn paper or foreign objects.
  • Make sure to check the paper path thoroughly, including the input and output trays.

Restart the printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Reset the printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

Check for obstructions:

  • Inspect the carriage area and ensure there are no obstructions or foreign objects.

Update firmware:

  • Visit the HP support website and check if there's a firmware update available for your printer model. If yes, download and install it.

Verify cartridge installation:

  • Make sure that the cartridges are installed correctly. Remove and reseat them to ensure they are properly inserted.

Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility from the HP website. This tool can automatically diagnose and resolve many printing issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
