Printer prints text but not photos

Help!!! My printer will only print text. If I attempt to print a picture it will go through all the motions, paper goes through the machine and head operates as if printing but no ink appears on paper. I thought it was an ink issue, I replaced the ink, restarted the computer  and cleaned the cartridge without any success! Text print is perfect?

 I'd like to help!

To assist better-

1) Does the copy print out the same way? 

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device? 

3) What is the type and size of the photo paper you are using.

 Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
