Hi @ShelbyDick,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP printer is experiencing a persistent error related to the printer or ink system. Here are some additional troubleshooting steps you can try.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Make sure the ink cartridges are properly seated in their slots.
  • Check for any protective tape or plastic that may still be on the cartridges.
  • Ensure the cartridges are not expired or damaged.

Reset the Printer:

  • Hard Reset: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • If you can access the printer settings or HP Smart app, check for any firmware updates that might resolve the issue.

Perform a Self-Test:

  • Many HP printers have a self-test feature that can help diagnose problems. Refer to your printer's manual on how to perform this.

Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor from the HP website. This tool can help diagnose and fix common printer issues.

Check for Overheating:

  • Make sure the printer is in a well-ventilated area and is not overheating.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
