HP Printer 9018e was taken from our office to a place without internet so that we could copy and scan. After about a week, we returned the printer to our office. I added the credentials to reconnect it to wifi and since then, it gets stuck on the screen that says, "Validating, Please Wait." I did find out that ink was taken with the printer, but I cannot confirm if any of the ink cartridges were changed. I have unplugged the printer and left it unplugged for several minutes and then plugged it back in. When it comes back on, it seems normal for a few seconds, but then goes right back to the "Validating. Please Wait." screen. It has currently been on that screen for over 20 minutes this morning, but was on that screen for two days before I unplugged/plugged it this morning. It is still not connected to the wifi. Please help!

Hi @Gatekeepr,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I understand that your printer is stuck at the validation. I'd like to help!
Let's try to reset the Printer here:
Reset the product
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.
Also, try a firmware update: Click here
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
