@spencerreid5476, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP OfficeJet 4650 printer is not powering on, and I’ll do my best to help you get it up and running again.
Here are a few steps to try:
Basic Hardware Checks
Check the Power Source:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the printer and a working wall outlet (avoid power strips or surge protectors).
- Try a different wall outlet to rule out power issues.
Inspect the Power Cord and Adapter:
- Look for any visible damage or fraying.
- If available, try using a compatible power cord from another HP printer.
Reset the Power Module:
- Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in directly to a wall outlet and try turning the printer on.
Still Not Powering On?
If the printer still doesn’t respond:
- No lights or sounds: The power supply might be faulty.
- Lights blink briefly then go off: This could indicate a hardware failure.
If none of the above steps work, I recommend:
- Trying a different compatible power adapter if you have one.
- Or visit the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.
