I have had this printer for years, through several OS upgrades. Never a problem. Had to replace printhead twice, with genuine HP heads. Never a problem.
However just recently, I am having problems with 2 colors not printing. Magenta and Blue. Both carts are full and are genuine HP carts. I only buy these from HP Store.
I have removed all the carts, and checked the vents and cleaned the contacts even though they were not soiled. I removed and cleaned the printhead. It is also not soiled. Disconnected power and reconnected. No change.
I have run the cart cleaning program more than once. No change. I don't know anything else to do. By the time I get this fixed, my new carts will be out of ink just with using the tools.
I need this printer and don't want to send it in as the warranty expired long ago.
Please help.
Thanks.

Also, the most recent printhead replacement I received had these little soft rubber things in with it. There were no instructions or anything to explain what these are, and what they are used for. Anyone have an idea?
