Officejet pro 6830
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi,

I am getting an error message 0xc19a0020 (problem with the printhead) on my Officejet pro 6830.   I have tried the diagnostic tests, but the problem persists.  I have been using genuine HP ink.  The printer is only 3.5 years old and has not been over or under used.   Does this fault mean I need to replace the machine?????????

Yes it does as the printhead is part of the printer & can not be replaced.

Hi Dean,

Thank you for your reply.

I am not happy with HP as the printer was never over used.    3.5 years is a poor return for a printer.  I am now stuck with expensive ink cartridges that are probably useless.

I wonder if there is a known fault with HP Printheads.?

Hi Cagin,
Yes, I have attempted to contact HP Support here in Ireland.  But the system seems to be set up to keep you going around in circles without ever being in contact with a human.   It's Frustrating.
Also, I've been checking the forums and I notice there is a pattern.   This 'Printhead problem'  is a common issue.   I cannot understand how HP allowed a Print, Scan, Fax, Copy, machine with an obvious 'Printhead problem'  be allowed off the production line and into the stores.   Someone in HP had to make the decision,  "Do  I take responsibility for the error ?" or "Do I jeopardise HP's  good name for quality?".
Shame on you HP
Apologies for loading this on you Cagin, I just hope this gets back to Hp.
I   am now going to use 'Social Media' to highlight  what HP are doing.  Hopefully, my message will travel far and wide.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
