Hello everybody.
I have a problem with this printer for my organization (a school).
I changed the black cartridge, always used original HP cartridges and now what is happening that the cartridge is not seen by the printer.
Here is the procedure:
- black cartridge replacement (901)
- beginning of aligning
- the printed sheet is almost completely white, and there's no black ink
- obviously the scan cannot recognize the page
- the black cartridge is not available
I tried with two NEW cartridges, I tried to clean everything, both using HP tools from the PC, but also using the printer menu, but I cannot solve the problem...
If anyone has any hint. Thanks!
Andrea

@AndreaAP If you have already performed the steps from the document Ink Cartridge Errors and yet, the issue persists,
its most likely a hardware malfunction and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,
here's how private messages work: Click here for details.
P.S: Welcome to HP Community 😉

Actually I already did all you write.
I cleaned the cartridge, and then replaced it (twice!) but no change occurred.
Before I wrote in the forum, I logged in HP, but this is what I get following exactly the same procedure you gave me 🙂
I decided not to buy Support, as the printer is "not so new" 🙂
Thank you.
