HP Smart Tank 7005

Hello, under Windows 10 64bits, when I print a color photo with my printer, the result is very dark. In Photoshop, the color profile of my old printer (Canon) is available for selection, but nothing for my HP printer. Which printer profile to choose: (in the "Print" window--->"Printer configuration".

CIE RGB?

e-sRGB?

HDTV (Rec. 709)

PAL/SECAM?

ROMM-RGB?

SMPTE-C?

Wide Gamut RGB?

*wscRGB?

*wsRGB?

Isn't there a printer profile available at installation for choosing the printer's own color profile to get a nice result on paper?

The HP Smart app is installed and I used it to configure the printer. I went through the process.

Thanks

Hello everyone, and thank you for your interest.

I was able to have a satisfactory result when printing photos after calibrating my screen under Windows 10. The brightness and gamma correction were indeed not correct, which changed the visual rendering on the screen. Because of this, the result on the printout did not look at all like on the screen. From the screen calibration, I can correct my photos before printing them.

Excuse me, but can you take me the link to the frensh forum?

There are a multitude of possible issues here. Unless you have calibrated your monitor and printer, they are never going to look exactly the same. Also program you print from can affect your output. Color matching is often a "voodo" science at best. If you have the option for an ADOBE RGB or CMYK that is what you are going to want to use. But even then you may have to do some tinkering.
