If the factory defaults did not help, we can perform a semi-full reset on the printer to resolve the issue
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

So, what IS the big secret to this???? I've had this problem for months, and no one has sent me a link to my special secret hiding place on this website. I simply keep unplugging the blasted thing in between uses, although now the scanner won't work unless I use the online "app" -- so much for having buttons on the front of the machine. Dear HP, quit making things so complicated!
