I have an 9010 printer and we have been getting the blue screen error as well. Have only been able to unplug and plug back in to restore temporarily.

i followed the suggestion and 30 minutes later it happened again.  Get this right, plugging, unplugging come on fix it.  I wonder if Epson or Brother printers have this issue.  if it keeps on i am going to find out first hand.

I appreciate the information. I don’t appreciate HPs slow response, particularly with numerous identical complaints with various versions and similar printers from HP. And then the guy that gets in touch wants all sorts of identifying info on the printer; it’s registered with you guys, LOOK IT UP!

My printer is an OfficeJet 9010 with the same problem.  I followed all sorts of answers on this site to no avail.  the problem continued.  So, in desperation I called HP.  They were great!  After first try they asked me to check in a day or two.  Then the called back, twice, to see what happened.  Last call back was this morning.  No problems for a few days now.   Now the problem is fixed.   So if any are having a problem, call HP!  They were very helpful.

HP Support is failing big time here.

This thread starts with the "ACCEPTED SOLUTION" that seems to have been posted by some bot since it is everywhere....

Unplug , wait , plug-in, install drivers/ firmware, update windows etc.

Every single comment in this thread show that this is not the solution. They all start with "I did those things".

If you call HP they always start with this set of "suggestions".

I need help. My printer should behave as a printer like it did for over a year.

and considering the number of replies, I am not the only one!

So HP - ACT please

And what phone number did you call to get such great service? Everyone I've tried results in the same answering machine, not a person, that directs you to the website!

So what was the solution? Please share!

What the heck is the big secret? What was the "fix" you got from them? Why doesn't an HP rep post what the fix is for this error message? I'm sick and tired of HP playing games, post the **bleep** fix for everyone to see and use!

I got a private em fix from an HP rep that said "my" problem had been elevated and someone should get back to me in 4-5 days. Folks, I've moved on, still have the HP printer, but went an bought a competitors version that prints reliably. My advice, dump any HP equipment you own because they seem to be only interested in sales, not service!

I am having the same problem. I followed all the instructions listed and updated the printer's firmware. I am still getting the blue scree and error code. What are the next steps to getting this fixed?
