I was hoping this would resolve the matter, but no firmware was available for the printer.   I did this through the printer and it said “the most current updates have already been installed.  No new updates are available at this time”. 

This printer was working fine requiring little attention, and all of a sudden I have this white screen issue which requires pushing the power button to resolve. The problem I have is that the printer is not nearby and documents may not print until I manually reset the printer. What a hassle. Maybe it’s time to consider an Epson.
