Hi

HP 2710e

After 30 years of using I hate HP printers with a passion. Only reason I keep buying it is because it is cheap, but always I end up paying with my time. I spent 5 hrs to make this horrible machine work. Which works from my wife's computer btw. She prints left and right all she wants.  All I got at on my end is this

When I try to print it won't even show the printer.

However the printer itself is rightly set up.

Not to mention extra set of printers that show up for no reason at all.

I tried printing with a USB connection (probably the extra set printers, why god knows)

When I try to remove all the printers and start from scratch it won't even LET ME REMOVE THE PRINTER. It says, remove failed.

Even the HP smart (ironic name really) shows that it is setup and ready to go.

There is no reasonable explanation. I want a refund, refund my 5 hrs which is far surpassing of the value of a new printer.

The printer won't print test but somehow prints a status report.

Help me or don't I don't care. I just want this to go on record. Truly a horrible company with horrible products that has no business existing let alone selling printers.

I ma buy a decent brand, and throw this down the recycle hatch.

Hi @sdasdweqwdsad,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Verify Printer Connection:

  • Ensure the printer is connected properly to the network your computer is using (either Wi-Fi or Ethernet).

Check Printer Status:

  • Verify that the printer is turned on and connected to the correct network. You can check the network status from the printer's control panel.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer model. Visit the HP Support page and download the latest drivers for the HP 2710e.

Reinstall Printer:

  • Sometimes, reinstalling the printer can resolve visibility issues. Remove the printer from your devices list and reinstall it using the latest drivers from HP.

Firewall/Antivirus Settings:

  • Check if firewall or antivirus settings are blocking the printer connection. Temporarily disable these and check if the printer shows up correctly.

Check Your Device Settings:

  • Ensure that "Add Printer" settings are correctly configured in your device's control panel.

Use HP Smart App:

  • Try using the HP Smart App for setup and printing. This app can often resolve connectivity issues and guide you through the setup process.

Printer IP Address:

  • Check the printer's IP address and ensure it matches the network range of your computer.

I hope this helps.
