@Glimmer, Welcome to HP Support Community!
Perform a power reset on the printer:
- Press the Power button (
) to turn on the product.
- Remove the ink cartridges from the printer
- With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 15 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
- If the product does not turn on by itself, press Power button (
) to turn it on.
Once the printer is back on, install the inks and then try to print.
If the issue persists, remove the ink cartridges- clean the electrical contacts using a cotton swab.
Put them back in and try printing.
Let me know if this helps.
Cheers 🙂

Read the first post i did that already.. seriously hp support plain out stinks.. you must to busy to read my post and send me that generic bs. Really it didbt work i did it 5 x went and bought more ink didnt work again cleaned heads many times. I rather get a message saying throw it out the window. What a waste of time! You cost me time and money already. It is ok though. I am replacing all my hpproducts with other brands like epson and canon. Hp products stink and so does your support. Yeah can you tell i am pissed off? I am... i cant run a business without a printer.

TY but it is too late. I threw it out the window because my business needs a printer that works. ( No printer ...no work gets mailed out...) Dont need printers that have software issues constantly i dont need one, that wastes hrs upon hrs trouble shooting it and then getting a generic reply. I have recd his message ans told him the same... untimely responses for a business owner..is unacceptable.
